______ Of the day
Soooo!
Get to know me
My Idea Is I'll introduce one thing on my wall a day. My wall, as seen above, is quite covered. The first thing, on which the text is conveniently shown backwards, is my Day Of Silence button. It reads: [on the top] Day of Silence, [on the bottom] What are you going to do to end the silence?
This is up there because, not only am bisexual, I am trying to be active in the GLBTQQI Community, and am a member of my school's GSA Board of Directors.
Word of the Day: Defenestration: the act of throwing something out a window
Song of the Day: Daisies by Sick of Sarah
Yoga Pose of the Day: Warrior
Colour of the Day: Deep lavender
See you tomorrow!
Feel free to suggest themes!
Intro to Henna
So I am honestly just giving you a short intro to my understanding of Henna.
I'm going to skip how it's actually made but I would like to note that if you're getting your henna done in a traditional fashion, you cover it waith paper staying still for hours, even sleeping beofre peeling it off. What intrigues me the most is the actual designs, and I find the disregard most people I've met have had for the actual meanings. I've seen 12 year olds with a fertility sign on their hands, and not just any old sort of fertility, if you know what I mean.
I would like to say that there are 3 main styles of henna from what I can discern. Perhaps the most popular being Arabic, the second; Indian, and the third; African.
That is all for now.
Hello to anyone who dares
We are not going to have this writer to reader [or lack thereof] relationship be based on lies.
My heart belongs to tumblr, but alas, it has been blocked, so here I am.
What you can expect:
Probably a general theme for each day, to be routinely interrupted by some of my poetry, joy over new found DIYs [I can turn a dress shirt into a cute tube top with no cutting or sewing!], and the big four fandoms. [Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Sherlock, and Supernatural]
Let's see... a theme for the day?
Get to know me?
Too cliche
Although..... Well I'll save the get to know me idea for later
Let's start with something very simple.
Henna perhaps?
Not too terribly exciting, but given that I'm getting my start at 5pm, it'll do.
Let us begin.
